It’s the wallpaper in one of the new treatment rooms

Last week onlookers were left in shock as sightings of a UFO landing in 315 were reported

One eye witness told reporters “It just hovered above the Ground and there were little green men underneath it looking up at it”

Turns out it wasn’t a UFO after all, but the delivery of our new Hydro Pool.

One minute it seems as though nothing is happening and then the next WOW! everything seems to be going on.

The courtyard has now been cleared and walkways are being laid as we speak…

The new Spa reception is taking shape…

The corridors are now looking really good…

Take a look at the Salt steam room now…

and just take a look at this for a shower room

So a couple of months ago, this is what the corridor in the Centre looked like…

and this is what it looks like now…

and relax…

That’s what you’ll be able to do in our brand new state of the art Salt Steam room. And as well as relaxing it’s also good for you too.

Here’s some more info…

Also known as halotherapy (“halo” is the Greek word for salt), salt therapy involves simply breathing in salty air. You can experience this natural treatment in a spa in a salt-steam room or salt cave, where the steam is infused with salt, and sometimes essential oils.

What is salt therapy good for?

Salt has many benefits, according to both modern and ancient history. The Greeks and Romans bathed in warm salt-water for relaxation, rejuvenation and also to heal a variety of skin conditions. Hippocrates also recommended inhaling steam from salt water if you suffered from respiratory diseases.

If you’ve visited us recently, you may have noticed that we now have a roof over the Spa & Wellbeing centre.

You’ll also have noticed that, it’s no ordinary roof. No this roof is alive.

It’s called a sedum roof and is one type of living green roof. A green roof is a layer of vegetation (living plants) deliberately put on top of a conventional roof surface and bringing a whole host of benefits to the building and the environment.

(and it look a lot prettier than tiles) 🙂

One of the features of the New wellbeing and Spa Centre is the Hydro pool. Imagine immersing yourself neck deep in our relaxing Hydro pool while powerful jets of warm water gently massage your entire body. Well until were finished, you’ll just have to imagine. But were getting there. Here are some stage photos I’ve been taking of the Hydro pool as build work progresses. (BTW – just in case you hadn’t figured it out already, you can click on any of the pictures in this blog to enlarge them)
